Went to a Japanese restaurant in Taichung today- and this is what bento boxes should look like. Taichung was actually founded as a Japanese city, and was to be the Japanese capital of Taiwan way back when; thus it has a lot of Japanese history to it. There are still a lot of Japanese shops and memorials, even a park and museum dedicated to Taiwanese-Japanese history.
Monday I'm taking a train to Taipei where my mom's side of the family is. I can't wait to post pictures from there- it will be amazing. I'm gonna try and enjoy the low-key life here but really can't wait to get to Taipei :)
