garner state park

That last one was taken from underwater, just because.

Some incredible views from atop some of these mountains. Decided not to include photos of my exhausted, dehydrated self during the steep hikes up these cliffs. When they say strenuous next 1.5 miles, they mean it'll feel like 8, and have an elevation change of 800 ft. They mean strenuous, and that's a threat.

Cooled off by the water afterward, which is freezing because it's the Frio River (means cold en espanol) after all. I also learned that my boyfriend has an uncanny and inexplicable fear of cactus. This was less "hiking" and more "rock climbing", jeez. The fact that it was so epic probably explains the amount of photo overload for this day.

every single night

More shots from around the cabins. The Sabine River ran across the back of the cabin grounds, and there were a few trees that had begun to change colours. The amazing thing is that during our stay, we noticed more and more red and orange as the days went on and the nights got colder. Excuse my dressing like a 90's punk grunge kid, tends to happen when the weather gets colder.
